Welcome to Imagination Design Studio!

Thank you for visiting Imagination Design Studio and for taking a little time to learn more about us.

Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do. My journey as a pattern designer began in 1991 with Oak Street Quilts, where I created original quilt patterns inspired by my love of fabric, color, texture, sewing, and design.

In 2002, I founded Imagination Design Studio as an advertising and graphic design agency. As the agency grew and I began working with clients throughout the Midwest, the demands of the business meant that Oak Street Quilts—the creative endeavor that had brought me so much joy—gradually had to take a back seat.

Years later, as retirement from the advertising business finally became a reality, I found myself with the opportunity to return to one of my first creative loves: designing patterns.

Rather than simply returning to Oak Street Quilts, I decided it was time for a new chapter. I brought the two businesses together under the Imagination Design Studio name, combining decades of design experience with my longtime love of quilting and sewing.

Today, Imagination Design Studio is home to my original quilt patterns along with an expanding collection of quilt and bag patterns as well as notions. I’m also looking forward to introducing new designs, including future  "In-the-Hoop" Embroidery projects.

As part of this transition, many of my original printed patterns are being offered at special prices while I refresh and redesign the pattern covers. I’ll also be expanding the collection of patterns available as convenient downloadable PDFs.

Although the name and look may be changing, the joy behind the designs remains the same. My hope is to create patterns that inspire you to choose beautiful fabrics, enjoy the creative process, and make something you’ll be proud to call your own.
